Marija Vainilavičiūtė was born in Lithuania in 1989. Photography has interested her since early age. In year 2000 Maria started taking pictures of her classmates for a monthly class magazine. In 2003 she showed and interest in graphic and web design and later in photomanipulating. This is when she became familiar with image editing software such as Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro. Photomanipulations were the thing that got her into photography more seriously in 2005.

Maria is currently studying BA Photography at Nottingham Trent University, UK.
